Plastic Card Printing Prices
Custom printed plastic cards cost from £0.66 to £4.50 per card excluding VAT, depending on how many colours you print, whether you print one side or both, and how many cards you order. There is no minimum order quantity — you can order a single card — and most orders are dispatched within 24–48 hours from our facility in Scotland.

Price per card by quantity
The table below shows the price per card for custom printed cards, where you supply the artwork and we print your design. Quantity discounts apply automatically. If you order several designs they do not need to be the same design to qualify for the discount — they do need to be the same print type (for example all Colour, Single Side Only).

All prices are per card and exclude VAT. Cards are 760 micron PVC in standard bank-card size (85.6mm × 54mm). Print type must be consistent across an order to attract the quantity discount.

How much does it cost to print plastic cards in the UK?
Custom printed plastic cards cost between £0.66 and £4.50 per card excluding VAT at The Card Printing People. The cheapest option is black print on one side at 100 cards or more (£0.66 per card). The most expensive is full colour on both sides in quantities of 1 to 9 cards (£4.50 per card). Full colour single-sided cards are £3.00 each for 1–9 cards, falling to £1.00 each at 100 cards or more.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No. There is no minimum order quantity, so you can order a single card if that is all you need. Quantity discounts begin at 10 cards and the best per-card price applies from 100 cards upwards.
How long does printing take?
Most orders are processed and dispatched within 24–48 hours from our facility in Scotland, once your proof has been approved. Standard delivery is Royal Mail 48, typically 2–4 business days after proof approval, and is free on orders over £10 to UK mainland addresses.
Do all the cards in one order have to be the same design?
No. If you order several different designs they still qualify for the quantity discount, as long as they are all the same print type — for example all Colour (Single Side Only). This means a set of 100 individually named staff ID cards is charged at the 100+ price.
Do the prices include VAT?
No. All prices shown exclude VAT. VAT at the prevailing UK rate is added at checkout. Our VAT registration number is GB 174 4218 11.
What are the cards made of?
Cards are 760 micron PVC in standard bank-card size (85.6mm × 54mm) — the same thickness and dimensions as a credit or debit card. They are printed edge to edge, and are suitable for staff ID cards, membership cards, loyalty cards, gift cards and medical ID cards. Eco-friendly recycled card stock is also available.
What do I need to supply?
Supply your artwork and we print your design. See our artwork guidelines for file formats, bleed and resolution, or use our design service if you would like us to create the artwork for you. A proof is issued for approval before printing begins.
